As the vibrant colors of autumn emerge and the crisp air signals the change of seasons, there’s no better time to step outdoors and reconnect with nature.
At Rising Together CIC, we invite you to join us on a series of guided walks this autumn and winter, each offering a unique opportunity to nurture your mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you’re seeking inner harmony, practicing gratitude, or embracing the quiet beauty of winter, these walks provide a space to slow down, reflect, and connect with nature.
Sunday, 20th October – Inner Harmony Walk at 10am Thornton Reservoir
In today’s fast-paced world, we often find ourselves overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. Our Inner Harmony walk is designed to help you step away from this chaos and find balance within. As we walk through the calming beauty of the autumn landscape, we will explore meditation techniques and mindfulness practices to center ourselves.
The changing leaves and the soft rustle underfoot will serve as a reminder to slow down and breathe deeply. Together, we will discover ways to cultivate inner peace, drawing inspiration from nature’s ability to find equilibrium, even amidst change.
Sunday, 24th November – Gratitude Gathering 10am Location TBC
As we edge closer to winter, the forest offers a final burst of color, reminding us of the beauty in transition. During our Gratitude Gathering walk, we will focus on appreciating the present moment— the crispness of the air, the brilliance of the fading leaves, and the simple act of being together in nature.
Gratitude is a powerful practice that can transform how we perceive the world around us. As we walk, we’ll reflect on the blessings in our lives and the small wonders of the natural world. This experience will help foster a deeper connection to both nature and ourselves, providing participants with tools to incorporate gratitude into their everyday lives.
Sunday, 15th December – Embrace the Stillness of Winter 10am at Bradgate Park
Winter brings a unique stillness, a quiet beauty that invites introspection and calm. Our December walk focuses on embracing this serenity and finding peace in the stark beauty of the winter forest. The trees may be bare, and the air may be cold, but there is immense beauty in the simplicity and stillness that winter brings.
We will guide participants through mindfulness exercises designed to help them stay present and at ease in the quiet of nature. The forest, even in its wintery stillness, offers a powerful reminder of the cycles of life and the peace that can be found in moments of rest and reflection.
